On the way up to Taos, we stopped at the Sanctuario in Chimayo, a New Mexican catholic chapel. People come from afar to leave offerings of all kinds.

Not too far from the Santa Fe Borders, we found this little engine looking for a rider. Sixteen Coaches Long!

Anny takes a rest in Chimayo.

John Trujillo's family has been weaving in the Chimayo area for more than a hundred years. His work is in many books and museums.

Claudia is tempted by a Trujillo blanket, but thrift wins out in the end!

After our Albuquerque gigs, Anny left for Los Angeles while we headed for the Midwest. We stayed in Dodge City, Kansas. (Now we know why the say "Get the Hell Out of Dodge." The next night we stayed withour friends Shari Elf and Stuart Watson in Kansas City. Our house in Los Angeles is filled with Shari's whimiscal found-object artwork. Being at her house, which is also, of course, filled with Elf-art, made us feel at home. We were pleasantly surprised by what a nice city KC seems to be.
